March 22, 2025, online event - Tender Steps of New York, Inc. is hosting an online conference for caregivers and young people ages 12-18 online from 9 - 12 p.m. Due to the current political climate, and for the safety and security of all participants, we decided to move this traditionally in-person conference, online. This conference will focus on creating a nurturing experience with meaningful conversations; Inspire to explore new opportunities; empower to assist in making choices to enhance lives; connect participants with resources that will help achieve their goals and provide networking opportunities for all attendees. “Embrace, Empower & Embody” is the theme of the conference. We want young people to learn that embracing communities is necessary to conserve our communities. Empower is key to community development as we connect families to relevant resources and support systems. Embody our youth and families to enrich, revive, and thrive within this community. These workshops help to foster healthy relationships in our community between our leaders, parents, and our youths. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Sagrario Rudecindo-O’Neill, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Student Support, Beacon School District. We will have community leaders, members, and service providers facilitating workshops and serving by sharing their gifts and knowledge for the purpose of educating caregivers and our young people. This conference will: Create a nurturing experience with meaningful conversations, inspire them to explore new opportunities, empower them to assist in making choices to enhance their lives, connect participants with resources that will help them achieve their goals, and provide networking opportunities for all attendees.
